Natural Bian stone body gua sha tool used for self massage and body sculpting. Bian is an ancient detoxifying and healing stone used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to encourage blood circulation, stimulate lymphatic drainage, reduce muscle tension, release fascia and promote relaxation. 

The Sancta Solis body gua sha has been crafted from high quality, ethically sourced Bian stone. The ergonomic tool has three edges which can be used on different parts of the body for the ultimate self massage experience.

One of our favourite moments to use the body Gua Sha is in the sauna — a beautiful space for reflection and gentle lymphatic flow. Once your body has warmed up begin from your calves upward, moving in sections with firm sweeps toward the heart.

Bian Stone retains heat, a welcomed depth to the ritual. Keep it with you between sauna breaks to maintain its optimal temperature. Self-care multitasking, but slow, intentional and restorative.

Technique

Apply Sancta nourishing body oil, oil of choice or an oil based balm over your body to help the gua sha tool glide onto the skin.

Use the gua sha at a 35-45 degree angle with medium pressure. Scrape each area 8-12 times until the skin is hot, moving to different areas as required. Always pull towards the heart.

Care Instructions

Like any natural stone, Bian is fragile and will break if dropped, so be careful with your gua sha. When not in use store tool in the Sancta Solis pouch for safe keeping.

Avoid practicing gua sha on the stomach if pregnant.

The shape and handle of the Sancta Solis gua sha allows for easy movements across the body, its contours will find yours. Consistency produces best results, we recommend starting twice a week and build up from there.
